General Work Rules
Ted's Temps wants to encourage
a safe and pleasant work atmosphere.
This can only happen when everyone cooperates
and commits to appropriate standards of behavior.
The following is a list of behaviors that the company considers unacceptable.
Any employee found engaging in these behaviors will be subject to disciplinary actions including reprimand, warning, layoff, or dismissal:
1. Failure to be at the work place, ready to work, at the regular starting time.
2. Willfully damaging, destroying, or stealing property belonging to fellow employees or the company.
3. Fighting or engaging in horseplay or disorderly conduct.
4. Refusing or failing to carry out any instructions of a supervisor.
5. Leaving your work station (except for reasonable personal needs) without permission from your supervisor.
6. Ignoring work duties or loafing during working hours.
7. Coming to work under the influence of alcohol or any drug, or bringing alcoholic beverages or drugs onto company property.
8. Intentionally giving any false or misleading information to obtain employment or a leave of absence.
9. Using threatening or abusive language toward a fellow employee.
10. Punching another employee’s time card or falsifying any record.
11. Smoking contrary to established policy or violating any other fire protection regulation.
12. Willfully or habitually violating safety or health regulations.
13. Failing to wear clothing conforming to standards set by the company.
14. Being tardy or taking unexcused absences from work.
15. Not taking proper care of, neglecting, or abusing company equipment and tools.
16. Using company equipment in an unauthorized manner.
17. Possessing firearms or weapons of any kind on company property.
Additionally --- Once assigned to a job, you must still report directly to Teds Temps Incorporated daily before returning to any job assignment, failure to do so will be construed that You quit. Returning to an assignment/client of Teds Temps Incorporated will be automatic dismissal/termination of your employment with Teds Temps Incorporated and will be a direct violation of your employment agreement as outlined in questions answered in your employment application by you. Therefore Teds Temps Incorporated will not be responsible for any wages from that point thereafter.
18. Using threatening or abusive language toward any member of management.
19. Willfully reporting to Clients job site without notifying Teds Temps Incorporated.
20. Automatic termination working on Clients job site without the permission of Teds Temps Incorporated. Daily assignments are assigned at the discretion of Teds temps Incorporated.

The following booklet outlines some of your responsibilities as an employee of Teds Temps. You are an employee of Teds Temps Incorporated, not the customer to which you are assigned. If you have any questions, one of our associates will be glad to assist you.
EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK
What you can expect from Teds Temps Incorporated
- Operation of an economically successful business so that a consistent level of steady work is available.
- Selection of employees on the basis of skill, training, ability, attitude, and character without discrimination with regard to age, sex, color, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, political belief, or disability that does not prohibit performance of essential job functions.
- Dedication to excellent customer service.
- Respect for individual rights, and treatment of all employees with courtesy and consideration.
Rules of Employment
- Daily reporting is first thing in the morning. Employees must report to the Teds Temps Incorporated office first thing in the morning to let THE COMPANY know that you are available for work. In order to become eligible for employment you are to report on time daily to secure an assignment.
- Job assignments may change from day to day. Employees are assigned to work on a wide variety of jobs. Dispatch is based upon qualifications of the employee and the requirements of the specific job assignment.
- You must secure a time ticket from a Teds Temps Incorporated Associate. Each employee of Teds Temps Incorporated must have a time ticket in order to be assigned to a customer. Once you have been given a time ticket, you are free to use the time between when you were assigned a time ticket and the time the job starts as you choose.
- If you do not complete an assignment and walk off the assigned job you will only be paid for actual hours worked. Multiple walk offs will result in a not eligible for rehire status.
- If you receive a DO NOT RETURN ticket from a customer the situation will be reviewed and based upon facts could lead to discipline up to and including termination.
What Teds Temps Incorporated expects from you:
- We must have a complete, accurate, legible, and approved timecard. No check will be issued without your timecard complete with your supervisor’s signature. Do not alter or change your timecard. If it is found that you have altered your timecard it will be grounds for termination and possible prosecution under the law. Please have your timecards turned in as instructed by a Teds Temps Incorporated Associate.
- Be on time to your work assignment.
- Always handle yourself in a professional manner.
The use of drugs is strictly prohibited. If you are suspected of drinking or drug use you will be refused work and written up. After 3 written warnings you will be terminated.
Safety Rules
- Listen to all work instructions. If you do not understand, ask your supervisor.
- DO NOT GET ON LADDERS, SCAFFOLDING OR ROOFS – EVER!
- DO NOT wear loose or ragged clothing.
- Wear all safety equipment that is assigned to you for your job assignment.
- Do not operate heavy equipment or dangerous machinery unless you were specifically assigned to do so, and are qualified to operate such machinery.
- Call Teds Temps Incorporated: (1) If you are asked to perform any duty you were not assigned to do, (2) Safety equipment is needed but not available at the site, or (3) If an assignment appears to be unsafe.
- Keep work area free of debris and waste materials.
YOU WILL NOT BE PENALIZED FOR REFUSING TO PERFORM ANY ACT THAT IS PROHIBITED BY THE COMPANY SAFETY RULES. HOWEVER, YOU MUST CALL THE COMPANY OFFICE TO NOTIFY STAFF.
Accident Procedure
In accordance with State and federal Laws, Teds Temps Incorporated provides Workers Compensation Coverage for all its employees. Under this coverage, you are obligated to:
Notify Teds Temps Incorporated or the client you are assigned to that you have been hurt on the job. If any injury requires medical attention you will be provided authorized care. A drug test may be required at the time of treatment and refusal to take the drug test may be grounds for immediate termination.
No later than 48 hours post injury you must assist Teds Temps Incorporated personnel in the completion of the first report of injury and provide a statement of the accident. Any attempts to misrepresent or make false claims regarding job injury will result in a full investigation and prosecution under the law.
Per Teds Temps Incorporated policy you are obligated to:
- Submit to drug/alcohol test in the event of an on-the-job accident/injury. Refusal to submit to post accident drug test is considered a positive and your employment will be terminated.
- Submit all clinical evaluation or status report forms to Teds Temps Incorporated.
- Report for temporary light duty if authorized by the treating physician.
- Contact Teds Temps Incorporated on a weekly basis if you are not yet released to work.
Company Policy
Notification of availability:
All employees must agree to accept assignments for which they are qualified as they become available. In order to be eligible for employment each person seeking work must make it known that he/she is available for a work assignment. By accepting employment and assignment to our clients, each employee acknowledges and agrees that he/she is on temporary assignment and upon completion of the assignment, he/she must notify Teds Temps Inc that he/she is available for reassignment. Failure to report to Teds Temps Inc for reassignment may disqualify an employee from unemployment compensation benefits.

Harassment:
Teds Temps Inc will maintain a workplace free of sexual or other illegal harassment while treating all complaints fairly and evenhandedly in order to prevent frivolous or malicious accusations. If it is determined that an employee of Teds Temps Inc is involved in sexual or any other type of illegal harassment or discrimination on the job, the employee will be subject to discipline up to and including termination. This includes but is not limited to making lewd or suggestive comments or actions to another worker, making unwanted advances or touching another worker, or making inappropriate racial or gender remarks. If you feel that you have been the victim of sexual harassment or discrimination, you must report the same to Teds Temps Incorporated. Once you report such incident to Teds Temps Inc you must provide a signed written statement to Teds Temps Inc detailing the facts of the occurrence so that Teds Temps Inc may adequately address the accusation. If you have reported conduct prohibited by this policy to Teds Temps Inc as required above, you are entitled to request removal from client’s site and be assigned to another client as soon as possible. Teds Temps Inc cannot assume responsibility for lost wages during the period between job assignments. Teds Temps Inc does not participate in, and will not permit any retaliation against an employee for making a complaint alleging a violation of Company policy and of the law.
Substance Abuse:
Drug and/or alcohol use in connection with performance of a work assignment, working while under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol, and the misuse of prescription drugs will not be tolerated and is cause for immediate termination.
At-Will Employment/No Contract:
This, Teds Temps Incorporated Employee Handbook is not a contract of employment nor is it intended to create contractual obligations of any kind for Teds Temps Inc. Each person’s employment is for no specific term. Either the employee or the employer has the right to terminate the relationship at any time. Nothing in the handbook should be construed as a contract or a guarantee of future employment.
Subject to applicable law, Teds Temps Incorporated reserves the right to deviate from policies, procedures, benefits, and working conditions described in this handbook. Furthermore, Teds Temps Incorporated reserves the right to withdraw or change the policies, procedures, benefits, and working conditions described in this handbook at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice.
Teds Temps Incorporated will make every effort to notify employees when official change in policy or procedure has been made, but employees are responsible to monitor changes to Teds Temps Incorporated policies, procedures, benefits, and working conditions.
Employment at Teds Temps Incorporated is on an “at-will” basis, which means either you or Teds Temps Incorporated ( in accordance with applicable law) may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without cause. Only a written agreement, signed by the President of Teds Temps Incorporated can change the "“at-will” nature of the employment of any individual. You are an employee of Teds Temps Incorporated, not the customer.
Immigration Laws
You agree to comply with any and all federal, state, and local laws regarding immigration and the legal status to work in the U.S. as a condition of employment, including, but not limited to, completion of a Form I-9.
